Lady Rams Struggle in Three-Set Loss at King (TN)

BRISTOL, TN – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (8-20) could not find their way in a tough three-set loss to the King (TN) Tornado, Thursday evening. The Lady Rams had a rough night as the team managed just 10 total kills in three straight sets, 25-8, 25-14, and 25-16.

Errors plagued the Lady Rams in the loss as the team totaled 18 attack errors in the match. Senior middle blocker De Ann Smith was the only WSSU player with a positive hitting percentage in the match. She finished the match with three kills with three assists. Senior right side Francesca Edgerton led the WSSU attack with four kills, but she added six errors.

With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 8-20 overall. The team will return to action, Saturday when the team heads to Greeneville, S.C. to take on North Greenville before wrapping up the regular season against Livingstone.
