Lady Rams Roll in Three-Set Win Over Shaw Lady Bears

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (9-6, 8-1 CIAA) made short work of the Shaw Lady Bears (1-12, 0-7 CIAA) as the team rolled to a three-set Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) win, Thursday evening. The Lady Rams took the win in impressive fashion by the scores of 25-9, 25-19, and 25-21.

The Lady Rams utilized a potent offense and some quality defense to take the win. As a team, the Lady Rams totaled 30 kills with 16 service aces in the match. The team also added 10 total blocks in the match. WSSU junior middle hitter Darissa Jones led the Lady Rams attack with eight kills with just one error and a service ace. She also added a pair of block assists. Junior setter Kayla Brass added a team-high 21 assists as well.
